The paper aimed to highlight the role of language games in developing the values of pride in the Arabic language, identifying the educational value of language games, the general principles of language games, criteria for selecting them, their importance, types, functions, benefits, and the role of the Arabic language teacher in language games. It also discussed the roles language games play in fostering values of pride in the Arabic language. The language games that contribute to the development of pride in the Arabic language include: (remembering what you heard, eliminating irrelevant information, common mistakes, testing your knowledge, expressing images, literary text cards, and speaking fluently). The paper concluded with some general recommendations for the Arabic language teacher to familiarize herself with language games that promote pride in the Arabic language, understand the role of these games in developing such values, and ensure that the content of the language games is designed to serve the Arabic language and contribute to fostering pride in it.
